Training for trainers

Target

The course provides practical skills and knowledge that make the work of a trainer easier. During the course we will address the issues of the rules of preparation and conducting courses and trainings inside organizations, institutions and companies.

Practical workshops in techniques of leading trainings and in elicitation methods will be realized during the course.

 

Requirements

The course is addressed to every person who throughout his or her professional life faced the challenge of group work as well as to trainers and everyone whose responsibility is to pass knowledge on other people, in particular:

1.  Methods of teaching adults

  • similarities and differences between teaching children and adults
  • factors influencing the speed and effectiveness of adults’ learning – how do adults perceive information
  • the role of a trainer in adults’ learning
  • barriers in adults’ learning

2.  Trainer’s features of character, trainer’s interpersonal communication

  • features of character useful at work
  • features that enable building authority
  • desired values and attitudes
  • methods of group elicitation
  • the influence of trainer’s relation with the group on the effectiveness of teaching

3.  Communication

  • ability to concentrate on a problem
  • obeying the rules of discussion
  • control of the communication process
  • handling difficult situations
  • conflict within the group – mediation
  • constructive critique

4.  Planning and leading a training

  • defining training goals as an answer to the training needs and financial and organization possibilities
  • arranging the contents of the course
  • choosing methods and training techniques
  • preparation of materials, aids, outline and place of presentation
  • planning organizational aspects
  • choosing the method of course validation

5.  Leading a course

  • techniques and methods of organizing meetings – examining a catalogue of training techniques and criteria of choosing a proper technique
  • rules of using the chosen techniques
  • active working methods
  • creating and testing one’s own teaching tools
  • practicing chosen techniques

6.  Elicitation of participants

  • techniques of elicitation and increasing group’s motivation
  • exercises enabling to build the atmosphere

7.  Evaluation of effects

  • levels of evaluation
  • usage of tests, surveys, observations, interviews

Methods of the course performing

  • Stimulation methods (brain storm, case study, snowball sampling, simulation games, debate, round table method, psychological game);
  • Various working methods – in groups, pairs, individual, in front of the class;
  • Additional visual aids (movies, presentations)
  • Learn more about methodology used by CI ProLearning.

  • sample training (on customer’s request)
  • an organized course and trainer assistance
  • teaching materials
  • catering during brakes (coffee, tea, biscuits)
  • lunch (vegetarian or traditional meals – smorgasbord)
  • certificate of the course completion
  • free e-mail consultancies with the instructor up to two weeks after the end of the course
  • tests after the course to asses participants knowledge after completing the course (on customer’s request)
