Demand for qualifications and trainings in Lower Silesia
For the last several years, economy growth rate in Lower Silesia is higher than EU 27 average. Comparison GDP per capita rate gives even more significant disparity. Although this contributes to “catching up” old EU countries level of development by the region, entire process will not end within a generation.
Positive changes occur in the structure of polish GDP and region follows these changes. However, fast growth in high-tech industry is not followed by changes in R&D investments in this area of economy, in contrast to service sector. This sector R&D employment rate has not been significantly increasing, R&D employment rate in industry still amounts to 10% of total R&D employment.
